did you come to the decision to procure vehicles via Smart Train Lease at short notice?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>H. K\u00f6rbs: The decision was the result of a pragmatic approach to an operational challenge. For a long time, we had replaced old vehicles of the ET425.5 series, which had not yet been available, with locomotive wagon trains on our S-Bahn line S6. Our original plan was to end this temporary solution in the summer. However, when there were delays in the procurement of components during the refurbishment of the end-of-life vehicles, we recognized the opportunity in the market. Smart Train Lease&#8217;s innovative offer with the modern Mireo Smart railcars offered us exactly the flexibility we needed in this situation. The ability to access state-of-the-art vehicles at short notice without having to go through lengthy procurement processes was the deciding factor for us.     <\/p>\n<p><strong>How has the Smart Train Lease offer changed the scope of action for the S-Bahn Hannover?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>H. K\u00f6rbs: The integration went smoothly because we were able to draw on our extensive experience with the use of replacement vehicles. We had already developed a prepared and proven model for such situations, so that the basic processes were established. Only a few vehicle-specific features of the Mireo Smart railcars had to be clarified. The professional support provided by Smart Train Lease and its full-service concept made a significant contribution to ensuring that commissioning could take place quickly and efficiently. Of particular note is the fact that there were less than eight weeks between the signing of the contract and the start of operations \u2013 a pace that would have been unthinkable with conventional procurement processes.    <\/p>\n<p><strong>Was hat Sie am Mietmodell von Smart Train Lease besonders \u00fcberzeugt? K\u00f6rbs: The availability of a reserve vehicle was of central importance for our operations in order to offer our passengers the highest possible reliability. Since it was a temporary rental, the possibility of a full-service leasing offer was crucial for us. This all-round carefree package means that we can concentrate on our core competence \u2013 the operation of the S-Bahn \u2013 while Smart Train Lease takes care of the complete maintenance and servicing in cooperation with Siemens Mobility Customer Service. This combination of flexibility, speed and comprehensive service was an important factor for us.
